DETERMINING YOUR SKIER TYPE

Determining your Skier Type is your responsibility. It’s used along with your weight, height, age, and ski boot sole length to determine the release/retention settings of your ski bindings. A higher skier type corresponds to decreased risk of inadvertent binding release and an increased risk of non-release. This information is important as inaccurate information may increase your risk of injury.

Type 1 Skier - Prefers skiing cautiously, at slower speeds and is most comfortable on smooth slopes of gentle to moderate pitch. Entry-level skiers uncertain of their preference should select Type 1.

Type 2 Skier - Prefers a variety of speeds, will ski on varied terrains and explores different parts of the mountain. Those who are not classified as Type 1 or 3 should select Type 2.

Type 3 Skier - Prefers faster speeds and skis aggressively on slopes of moderate to steep pitch.

Pick up is available from 9:30am, return by 7:00pm. Any returns after 7:00pm will incur a $15 + tax late fee. Additional protection and accessories are available to add-on in store.
